Magnetic Separators ILM and ILM-F

Magnetic separators for hygienic and sterile process lines: the tubular separator reliably removes magnetic solids from the liquid. The ILM-F additionally has a filter basket.

8 / 40bar nominal pressure, depending on closure
DN25…100nominal size, DIN, ISO and OD acc. DIN11866
160°C, CIP and SIP capable, higher on request
Ra < 0.6µm, product contact electropolished

Overview

Magnetic solids stay on the rod.

The separator sits directly in the pipeline and allows a high flow rate with low pressure loss in continuous operation. Cleaning, checking and maintaining the magnetic rod is easy and safe.

  • For liquids carrying magnetic solids
  • Pull only the magnetic rod: the casing stays installed and is cleaned by CIP
  • Or remove the complete inner part and clean it by hand
  • Sterile design, static seals only
  • CIP and SIP capable up to 160 °C
  • Connections bio-plus® sterile union, DIN11864, DIN32676, EN1092
  • Product-contact surfaces electropolished, Ra < 0.6 µm
  • Gaskets FDA conform, USP Class VI, TSE-free
  • Options: feedback unit M12, heating or cooling jacket

Versions

With magnet alone or with filter basket.

The solids adhere to the casing. They are removed and cleaned with the complete inner part, or only the magnetic rod comes out and the casing is cleaned by CIP while installed.

A magnetic separator is additionally fitted in the filter tube. If the filter basket clogs, it is removed and cleaned by hand. An additional casing tube allows the separator to be cleaned safely and quickly without the magnets fitted.
